Dan started DDG in the late 80's and has designed sets around the world. From New York to Los Angeles, Montreal to Mexico City, New Delhi to Sydney and just about everywhere in between, Dan has created innovative sets for broadcasters worldwide. When Dan isn't directing the creative at DDG, he's usually on a mountain bike somewhere. His idea of a casual bike ride? Peddling 40 to 50 miles up and down the mountains of Colorado! His greatest personal achievement has been competing in the Leadville Trail 100 Mtn. bike race – 8 times! His hobbies include biking, hiking, snowboarding, softball and fly fishing. Plus, he's a pinball wizard. Dan lives by the work hard, play hard rule, and brings the same passion and intensity to his work, every day. Dan's favorite quote: "You're better than you think you are, and you can do more than you think you can! by Ken Chlouber, LT100 Race Director.
With a genuinely positive "can-do, will-do" attitude, Kartik is a highly-motivated individual. He’s got the remarkable ability to remain focused even in pressure situations and highly demanding deadlines. Born and raised in India, Kartik moved to U.S to obtain his Master's degree in Architecture. He joined DDG in 2000 and heads up DDG's design department. Kartik sets such high expectations for himself, one cannot help but feel his commitment to work and the high level of enthusiasm he brings to DDG each day. He resides in Highlands Ranch, Colorado with his wife and six year old daughter. He enjoys swimming and playing tennis.
Julie has worked for DDG in the past and has a working knowledge of the company and its creative vision. She came back on board in summer of 2010 as Project Manager, bringing with her many years of experience managing large multi-million dollar residential interior and scenic projects. When not hard at work at DDG, Julie can usually be found with camera in hand at a rodeo, horse show, polo match or at a ranch photographing horses. Besides her love of photography and horses, Julie also loves interior design, fashion and art. She brings her passion for design and art into the mix at DDG. Julie's favorite quotation: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt within the heart." – Helen Keller.
Mary has been our admin guru since 2004. She's highly-organized and keeps all the behind-the-scenes paperwork flowing and the administrative balls in the air. We really rely on Mary, because the rest of us creative types need all the help we can get! When she’s not contributing her amazing skills to DDG, Mary, a registered Landscape Architect, works on land planning projects, experiments in the culinary arts and ventures into the great outdoors with her husband and her dog. Mary's favorite quotation: “We are here on the planet only once, and might as well get a feel for the place.” – Annie Dillard
Chief is 135 pounds of pure Alaskan Malamute. You could say this Top Dog heads up DDG's morale department. No matter what kind of day you might be having, just having this creative canine around the office always brings a big smile to your face. He's pretty laid-back, but if you bring treats with you when you visit, he's your newest BFF. His littermate Skye is a champion show dog living in Texas, and his other brother Rusty is owned by a forest ranger in the Sierra Nevadas. If you ever hear snoring on the phone in the background, that's Chief! Other favorite activities? Chewing on tree limbs, chasing balls, squirrels and the occasional bear who wanders too close to the property. His proudest accomplishment? He’s never missed a day of work at DDG!
